Receiving an EPA rating of 49 miles per gallon in the urban vehicle , 45 miles per gallon on the highway and 50 mpg combined, the new 2010 Toyota Prius deserves its fame as the industry's most fuel-efficient vehicle.
But while the fuel economy numbers sound amazing , they don't necessarily simbolyse a lot of money savings: Versus the Honda Insight, rated at 39 mpg overall, the Toyota Prius driven 20 ,000 miles a year would result in $150 in fuel savings every year with gas at $2 a gallon; $330 at $6 a gallon, as Cambece declared last week.
